What can deflect the sun’s intrusive glare? You know, those glasses people wear to protect them from that golden orb in the daytime sky. Oh, yes. Sunglasses.
Tuesday, June 27, 2017, is National Sunglasses Day. It’s time to pop on those shades and pretend to be cool. Not that you aren’t cool already. **nervous laughter**
Sunglasses was first introduced to the American market in 1929. Inexpensive mass-produced sunglasses were sold on the boardwalk of Atlantic City, New Jersey, capitalizing off of the beach-going consumer. Sam Foster invented these sun-guarding glasses made from celluloid. Foster Grant is the name of his eye-wear company.
Your shades might protect your eyes from the sun, but no one’s safe from the memes and gifs in the gallery…
Stay cool with some of these shady photos.
