I’m not a fan of the Kardashian clan. I think they’re valueless, materialistic, no talent scourges on society who set a horrible example for younger generations. But even I can respect their global hustle and savvy business moves. With Kim dropping a new makeup line, KKW Beauty, I can add one more item to my grow list of reasons to hate yet envy them.
The first in a long line of makeup sets were released today and it was an IMMEDIATE success. The first product sold out in 12 minutes after it hit the Internet. 12 minutes.

A few hours later, all of the products had been snatched up. All told, E News is reporting the product drop drew in around $14 million. In one day. Actually, in less than three hours. The most successful three-hour stretch of my life was when I crushed the first three episodes of Stranger Things in one sitting last summer. (It was glorious).
Kim may have as much talent as a ball of cotton, but momager Kris Jenner sure knows how to brand the absolute f— out of her. Gotta tip my cap to them for leveraging their fame into a multifaceted and rage-inspiringly lucrative empire.
Kim is estimated to be worth upwards of $100 million, meaning they’re obviously doing A LOT right. It also means I can talk as much s— as I want about how they accumulated this wealth and their actual value to society, but I’ll never in a million years equal their accomplishments.
Life is unfair. I need a hug.
