A bomb threat at a building in The Woodlands prompted authorities Wednesday to evacuate the facility. The bomb threat was reported at a professional building next to St. Luke’s Health near Interstate 45 and College Park Drive.

What Happened?

UPDATE: Officials with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office have given the all clear signal after reports of a bomb forced the evacuation of a medical facility near CHI St. Luke’s in The Woodlands Wednesday morning.

A Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office representative said someone left a note threatening to blow up the building unless a ransom was paid. Medical Arts Center III – the medical building near St. Luke’s Hospital – has been evacuated as a precaution.

The evacuation began shortly before 9:00 A.M. local time Wednesday morning. ABC 13 reports that the hospital is open though officials are asking that people avoid the area as the investigation is underway.

The threat was reported at 17450 St. Luke’s Way, suite 290, according to deputies. Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office are on scene investigating.

No explosive devices were found after a sweep of the building.
