Golfing great Tiger Woods landed himself behind bars in Jupiter, Florida early Monday Morning. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The 41-year-old pro golfer was booked into a local jail at 7 A.M., according to Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office’s online records.
Woods was later released at 11 A.M. on his own recognizance and without paying bond. The golfer has been charged with diving under the influence.
Update: Police claim that they found Woods asleep at the wheel in his Mercendez-Benz. They had to wake up the golfer, whose foot was set on the brake and his blinker was still on. Tiger reportedly told them that he was returning home from playing golf in Los Angeles. Both the golfer and his car seemed of alcohol. The officer requested that Woods exit his officer, in order to conduct a field sobriety test. Woods failed every test. He was asked to recite the alphabet backwards, but mistook that request for something else. Woods saif, “Yes, recite the entire national anthem backwards.”
Woods admitted to taking a powerful painkiller known as Vicodin. It was reported that Woods blew a 0.000 on a breathalyzer test. The golfer also complied with the requested urine sample. He tested positive for Soloxer, Vicodin, Torix, and Viox.
Late Monday, the Tiger apologized for the arrest, citing an “unexpected reaction to prescribed medication.” He assures us that he’ll prevent any similar mistakes in the future.
His court date has been scheduled for July 5th, 2017.
Tiger hasn’t played golf on a professional level since February of this year, when his health required him to pull out of the Dubai Desert Classic. Woods has had multiple back surgeries over the years. A little over a month ago, this golfer underwent fusion surgery on his back. Woods seem satisfied with the results of that surgery. said in a blog post that “it was instant nerve relief.”
“I haven’t felt this good in years,” he said.
Woods might not be feeling as good after that arrest.
