Bachelor star Chris Soules has been accused of leaving the scene of a deadly crash, according to the Buchanan County Jail. Soules was booked into the jail at 1:16 a.m., on a criminal charge of leaving the scene of an accident at which a death occurred, the jail told The Register.
What Happened?
According to KWWL, The Bachelor star Chris Soules has been arrested in connection with a fatal crash Monday night in which he allegedly left the scene.
Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a call around 8:20 P.M. Monday that a pickup truck had collided with a tractor north of Aurora in Buchanan County, Deputy Cory Hartman, who responded to the scene, said.
Identities of the victim and the pickup driver and the medical condition of the pickup driver were not available Monday night.
The tractor driver was an older man, Hartmann said, and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein, where he was pronounced dead.
Who Is Chris Soules?
Chris Soules appeared on the 10th season of ABC’s The Bachelorette in 2014 and was selected in early 2015 for the 19th season of The Bachelor. Soules, a farmer, is from Arlington, Iowa. He also appeared on Dancing with the Stars and has continued to be in the public eye as an advocate for agriculture issues.
