Police have shut down part of 16th Street NW because a man called and said there was a bomb in a building Monday morning, according to a report.

What Happened?

UPDATE 12:15 PM: Police may be investigating a suspicious package as well in the area of 16th and I streets near the AFL-CIO building, according to a Fox 5 reporter.
According to The Washington Post, police are investigating in the 800 block of 16th Street NW, which is located near the White House and Lafayette Square.


Police say that a man called and claimed that there was a bomb in a building.
