The Bruins are set to battle the Senators in Boston for Game 6. The Ottawa Senators are currently leading the series 3-2. Friday night, the Bruins showed some life when they knocked off Ottawa, with a final score of 3-2.
However, the Senators have won five straight games in TD Garden. This season, Ottawa has trampled over the Bruins seven times. In Game 5, the Bruins were able to turn their luck around with a little help from an unexpected hero in the form of rookie Sean Kuraly. But history isn’t exactly on Boston’s side, the Bruins have failed to recover from a 3-1 playoff deficit an astonishing 22 times.
Ottawa’s Marc Methot isn’t banking on the Senators’ stellar record at TD Garden. He’s much more focused on the game. “It’s a great stat, but I don’t think we think about it much to be honest,” said Methot. “During the regular season, that’s one thing, but it’s a different ballgame now.”
