Game three is getting underway as the Ducks and Flames head to Calgary. The first two games have a been a neck and neck fight with the Ducks taking the win in both. The Flames are hoping that home ice will give them some luck as well as the first win in the series for their team. The Ducks, on the other hand, have a chance to extend their lead to three, which would put them only one win away from advancing. Only one team will get the win in tonight’s game, so which will it be?
The Ducks seem to pull out that playoff charm when they need it. With two wins at home, the Ducks are flying high and mighty. While the Ducks may have a few cracks in the armor that might cause their lead to slip, they still have a chance to hold firm against the Flames to win the series. Anaheim is playing some great hockey on all fronts and needs to keep the consistency in each game if they want to continue onward. However, the Ducks are using all their defensive and offensive weapons accordingly and if they keep their style of play up, there is not doubt they are second round bound.
The Flames are still trying to find their playoff groove and have a chance to find it at home. No team wants to be down three games to none in the playoffs, so this is an important game for Calgary. Being in home territory might help give the Flames the edge, but they still need to prove their effectiveness on the ice. The Flames have been able to keep pace with the Ducks, it just seems the Ducks get the slight edge in both games. Calgary needs to shut down the Ducks as well as stop Anaheim from getting the early lead. If the Flames can score first and keep the Ducks at bay, then they have a shot at winning this game.
The heat is turning up in this game three matchup in Calgary, as the Ducks are hoping for a three-nothing lead while the Flames are shooting for their first win in the series. You do not want to miss this action, so check below to see how you can tune into this matchup.
