Vietnamese-American Forcibly Removed From United Flight Identified As David Dao

The passenger who was forcibly removed from a United Airlines flight has been identified as 69-year-old grandfather Dr. David Dao.

Horrifying footage shows the Vietnamese-American being hauled off the overbooked flight at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on Sunday, April 9. Dr. Dao was heard in videos captured of his shocking eviction saying he needed to get home to Louisville so he could see his patients.
United Airlines says its agents “were left with no choice” except to call the Chicago Department of Aviation to get Dao off of the flight. When officers arrived, they were unable to get Dao to cooperate, so they physically removed him through the aisle of the plane.
