It’s been a long year since we last saw Archer and a lot has changed. For those that do not want any spoilers, many Archer fans know that last season left us on a big cliffhanger. It seems the creators want to keep that cliffhanger going with this next season. Called Archer Dreamland, it’s placing the characters in the 1940s. Similar to how Archer Vice (season six) was all about the gang being drug dealers, this season is going for the vintage detective noir aesthetic.
While I’m sure the creators already know how this connects to the past seasons, we will have to watch and see how this season plays out. One thing for sure is that it is still the same Archer we know and love, with his phrasing jokes and love for the drink. Even in a different time period, it is still the same old Archer, however, it seems the other cast of characters has different parts to play this time around.
