FX’s The Americans continues its fifth season tonight with episode #5, “Lotus 1-2-3.”
Last week saw Philip and Elizabeth begin to get close to their targets, though the work-obsessed mark Philip is pursuing is proving to be somewhat of a reclusive challenge. Elsewhere, Paige is continuing to hone her spy snooping skills while Pastor Tim and Alive are out of the house. Elizabeth is angry at first, but admits to Philip later it would be useful to have some dirt on him. On the other side of the world, Oleg knows he’s in a very dangerous position between the U.S. and Soviet governments even as Stan puts himself at risk back at home to protect him.
