It’s been a long time coming, but from the looks of things, South Padre Island was the party spot as far as spring break destinations went in 2017. After the king, Panama City Beach, died, people were trying to figure out where the guaranteed-epic spot would be.
We first started getting word a few months back that it might be South Padre Island when we learned that Texas State’s Big Neechi (above) was helping to host the concerts there. Then more and more information started flowing in. Lil Wayne. Migos. Marshmello. Some of the biggest music acts were descending on a small beach in Texas where open containers are not an issue. When spring break finally arrived, the photos and videos we all saw on Instagram were all signs that pointed to the truth: South Padre was the new spot. Even if Fox News is trying to ruin that, too.

And then this video from Campus Lens came out. This is like the icing on the cake, the slap to the bag of Beatbox, the proof in the pudding. Honestly, I’m not entirely sure if I could even hang in South Padre for more than a weekend before my brain started failing, but from the looks of things, I’d die a happy man.
