Paula Lynn Hobbs, a 51-year-old Florida woman, is accused of shooting and killing her boyfriend. When police responded to the crime scene, Hobbs allegedly said, “Don’t worry about it.”
Hobbs, 51, was arrested in connection with the murder of 63-year-old Evertt Leslie Humble, who died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers found Humble’s blood-soaked body when they arrived at the scene of the Orlando apartment complex on Cinderlane Parkway after a witness saw the body on the couple’s porch and called 911.

Hobbs was at the scene when police arrived and initially dodged an officer’s questions about what was going on, saying “don’t worry about it,” the report states. The officer spotted Humble’s body, though, and ordered Hobbs to step away.
Police said Hobbs refused and instead, ran into the apartment, locking herself inside with Humble’s body, according to the report. Officers surrounded the home and eventually, she surrendered.
Police said that while in custody, Hobbs “spontaneously” told investigators, “If you tell me he is dead, I will tell you why I did it.”
Neighbors told police they heard multiple gunshots in the apartment about 30 minutes before officers arrived and crime scene crews found a .22-caliber revolver with five rounds missing in the bottom drawer of a bedroom dresser.
Hobbs, a convicted felon who spent a total of approximately seven years in prison between 1992 and 2003, was arrested for first-degree murder and booked into the Orange County Jail.
Hobbs’ most recent arrest was for battery domestic violence last August. She is currently being held without bail.
