Chicago Cubs World Series Win Being Made Into A Movie Because Hollywood

First Tom Brady‘s insane Super Bowl comeback victory and now the Chicago Cubs’ historic World Series win. Is there anything Hollywood won’t turn into a movie?
As many of you already know, the Cubbies broke a 108-year title drought last year and became the first team in MLB history to roar back from a 3-1 deficit when they won four straight against the Cleveland Indians in a thrilling series. Game 7 was particularly wild and memorable thanks to pinch hit homeruns, rain delays and general OMG-ness.
One great moment was Cubs catcher David Ross’ home run, which made him the oldest player to ever homer in Game 7 of the World Series. Ross has a memoir coming out in spring, Teammate: My Journey in Baseball and a World Series for the Ages, which Radar Pictures is already developing into a movie.
Ross co-wrote the book with sportswriter Don Yaeger. It will cover the highlights from Ross’ 15-year career in the bigs. The film, which will just be titled Teammate, is being written by Ram Getz and John Corcoran.
“It was said all during the 2016 season that if you made a movie about the magical run with all its amazing subplots, no one would believe it,” Ross said in a statement. “Guess what? Believe it!”
Ross’ book will become available May 9.
