Karla Alvarez, a middle school teacher, is facing drug trafficking and gun charges along with two others after Georgia police officers raided Alvarez’s home and seized $6 million dollars in cocaine, heroine, and guns.
Alvarez, 28, is both a Spanish teacher and the girl’s soccer coach at Chestatee Middle School Academy in Gainesville, Florida.
The Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad executed a search warrant and found 61 kilos of cocaine, a kilo of heroin, guns, and cash in the home that Alvarez shared with Monica Pascual Brito and her brother Ricardo Pascual Brito. Monica, 24, was arrested, while authorities are still looking for Ricardo, 25. The estimated value of the drugs totaled $6,209,280.

Authorities executed a search warrant at a home in the 4000 block of Crawford Oaks Drive in Oakwood, reportedly finding 61 kilograms of cocaine, 1 kilogram of heroin and two semi-automatic assault rifles.
The MANS unit was assisted by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Gainesville Police, Georgia State Patrol and the Georgia National Guard Counterdrug Task Force.
The Hall County School District is conducting an internal investigation into Alvarez and is working in cooperation with the sheriff’s office.
