Out of the 10-team field, Gonzaga will be the heavy favorite in the 2017 West Coast Conference Tournament, and it’s not hard to see why. They’ve won the last four WCC Tournaments, and until they were shocked at home on Senior Night by BYU in their last regular season game, they were the only undefeated team in college basketball.
Gonzaga ended the season with a sterling 29-1 record overall and a 17-1 first place record in conference play. Joe Lunardi still has them as a #1 seed in his latest bracket, and I’m sure there will be a lot of people who pick the Bulldogs to win it all in their March Madness pool.
Besides the dangerous #3 seed BYU, Saint Mary’s is also a team to watch at the WCC Tournament. They finished second in the conference with a 16-2 record, and Lunardi currently has them as a #6 seed in his NCAA Tournament bracket.
The 2017 WCC Tournament is set to run from Friday, March 3 through Tuesday, March 7 at the Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Let’s breakdown the tournament’s bracket and schedule, so you can keep up with all of the action.
