Conference tournaments are underway, as there are 32 automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament up for grabs. The 2017 Colonial Athletic Association Tournament is scheduled to take place from Friday, March 3 to Monday, March 6 at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Out of the 10 teams in the field, UNC Wilmington is the favorite, as they were the regular season CAA champs with a 15-3 record in conference play. They also won last year’s CAA Tournament, taking down Hofstra 80-73 (OT) in the championship game.

Joe Lunardi currently has UNC Wilmington as a 12-seed in his latest bracket, which we all know is a prime spot for upsets. Sorry to rain on the UNC Wilmington hype parade, but this is always the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of their basketball program.

Let’s breakdown the bracket and schedule for the 2017 CAA Tournament. You might want to watch these games with a notepad in hand, as this is the research you need to conduct to win your March Madness pool.
