11 people have been injured at the Sandpiper Cove Condos in Destin, Florida after a balcony collapsed. Sandpiper Cove is located at 775 Gulf Shore Dr, in Destin, Florida.
Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said on Twitter that none of the injuries are considered life-threatening.
7 of the injured went to the hospital, two of which are suffering from significant injuries. According to Northwest Florida Daily News, the injured were celebrating the 82nd birthday of a friend when the balcony collapsed.

Okaloosa County EMS Director Tracey Vause said seven people were taken by ambulance either to Destin Emergency Care Center or Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Hutchinson said there were two trauma alerts and three trauma standbys headed the hospital.
Four other victims were taken in private vehicles to get medical care.
The Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as snowbirds from Indiana and Kentucky.
