University of Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield was arrested Saturday morning in Fayetteville, Arkansas on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, fleeing, and resisting arrest. According to Yahoo Sports, he was booked by the Washington County Sheriff’s office at 8:21 this morning, and he has a hearing scheduled for Monday at 8:00 a.m.
Mayfield must have had himself one helluva Friday night to end up with such a litany of charges. Here’s the 21-year-old’s mugshot, where he unsurprisingly doesn’t seem to be in the best of moods.

It will be interesting to see how this incident will affect Mayfield’s junior season. He was a Heisman Trophy finalist after throwing for 3,965 yards and 40 touchdowns last year, and we all know how desperate Bob Stoops is to win. That bullshit he pulled by letting Joe Mixon play the 2015 and 2016 seasons when everybody knew that he drilled a girl in the face was deplorable.
