We’ve got some quality afternoon college basketball on tap today, as the Creighton Bluejays will travel to Villanova to take on the Wildcats. It’s Senior Day for Villanova and they can clinch their fourth straight regular season Big East championship with a win, so Creighton will definitely have their work cut out for them.
#2 Villanova (26-3, 13-3 Big East) was upset in their most recent game, as #22 Butler came into The Pavilion and pulled off a huge 74-66 victory. Prior to that loss, the Wildcats had won their last last seven games.
The #23 ranked Bluejays (22-6, 9-6 Big East) are also coming off a loss. Providence upset the Bluejays in Creighton on Wednesday, winning a 68-66 nail-biter.
This will be the second meeting between these two conference foes this season. Villanova won the first round, picking up an 80-70 victory in Creighton on December 31, 2016.
