An active shooter was reported at the Ben Taub Hospital in Houston, Texas. However, police have since said that they have found no evidence of a shooter or victims following an extensive search.

Police said they were responding to a report of an active shooter at the hospital earlier today. One media outlet reported that an active shooter had barricaded himself on the second floor. The entire hospital was evacuated and dramatic footage featuring patients and doctors fleeing the hospital could be seen on several newsfeeds.

A separate report later said that the shooter was actually barricaded on the third floor of the hospital. According to a law enforcement source, around 3 P.M. CST, “An active shooter has been cornered in Ben Taub Hospital as the Houston SWAT team responded to reports of shots fired inside the building.”
Police have since given a briefing stating that no shooter or victims had been discovered.
