Week 12 of the college basketball season can be summed up in one phrase: “THAT WAS AWESOME.” 14 teams fell in the ranks last week with buzzer beaters left and right, road teams getting big wins and really nothing more you could have wanted as a fan of the game. With then #1 Villanova being one of the ranked teams to go down last week as they fell to Marquette, the Gonzaga Bulldogs are now the #1 team in this week’s AP Top 25 Poll, marking it the first time in the school’s history that they’ve been ranked #1. Now does this mean they’re going to win an NCAA title this year? Of course it doesn’t, they’re still Gonzaga and they always blow it in March. Regardless, the Top 25 is still relatively the same, with just some teams moving up and down in the rankings, but if last week is any indication of what the tournament might look like come March, we’ll be in for a special one. Here’s how the rest of the AP’s Top 25 looks this week.
