Once a year, the WWE audience is treated to a high stakes 30-man Royal Rumble match. Thirty of the top athletes of the ring will battle it out for the right to fight for a world (or universal) championship match at WrestleMania 33. Who will make it out on top? It’s very hard to tell. I feel that this year’s event if a lot more unpredictable than last year’s event, when I was 100 percent sure that Triple H would win. There could easily be several believable winners of the Royal Rumble match. But who? Who? Who? Who? Who?

No one in The New Day is expected to win the Royal Rumble. But Kofi is long overdue for a world title reign. And The New Day are over as f*ck, so this is not so farfetched. Maybe one of the founders of Booty-Os cereal will win this big match.
We also have a few more high profile matches tonight. Kevin Owens will defend his WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns, while his best friend Chris Jericho is locked high above the ring in a shark tank. And Y2J is deathly afraid of heights! John Cena will be looking to capture his record-tying 16th world championship tonight, but he’ll have to conquer “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles. Bayley is gunning for Charlotte’s Raw Women’s Championship. And Neville is looking to destroy Nick Swann, claim the WWE Crusierweight Championship, and sit atop his throne as King of the Cruiserweights.
Look below and gaze into my crystal ball of Royal Rumble predictions.
WWE Royal Rumble 2017 Viewing Details

Time: 7:00 P.M. EST
TV Channel: WWE Network / Pay-Per-View
Location: Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas
Main Event: 30-Man Royal Rumble Match
Kevin Owens (c) vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship in a No Disqualification match
WWE
This one is sure to be very entertaining. There will be a lot of comedic moments with Y2J locked in the shark tank. I think Reigns will dominate much of the match. I think WWE hasn’t learned their lesson yet with “face” Roman Reigns as champ. Finn Balor is likely to come back and challenge for the championship at WrestleMania 33. And honestly, I see more money in Reigns vs. Balor then Owens vs. Balor. If Reigns turns heel, he’d make an amazing main event program at WrestleMania.
Roman Reigns defeats Kevin Owens to become the new WWE Universal Champion
Rich Swann vs. Neville for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship
WWE
Neville has seemed very dominant on Raw and WWE’s 205 Live. “The Man That Gravity Forgot” is tearing right through the division. He’ll be looking to knock off Swann and take home the big purple cruiserweight strap. This would make Rich Swann a transitional champion. But WWE really looks to be pushing Neville. And they can’t have someone stop his rise so soon.

Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Bayley for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship
WWE
Bayley will lock horns with Charlotte in the Alamodome. Ms. Flair will put her championship and her recording breaking pay per view streak on the line against the wacky, energetic Bayley. Bayley looks primed for victory in this one, but it’d be way too soon to put the strap on her now. They should save that moment for WrestleMania. That would make her winning the championship much more magic. Therefore, my money is on Charlotte for the Royal Rumble.
Charlotte Flair defeats Bayley and retains the WWE Raw Women’s Championship
AJ Styles (c) vs. John Cena for the WWE World Championship
WWE
This match will be an absolute wrestling clinic. Styles will once again prove himself as the new face of the WWE. If Cena is gonna take the strap off of Styles then tonight is not the night. John has been really running his mouth on SmackDown, and downplaying Styles’ role in the company. AJ will shut Cena up tonight. But only for tonight. We don’t yet know how things will play out come the Elimination Chamber event.

30-Man Royal Rumble Match
I can see many surprise entrants in this match. I predict NXT superstars Shinsuke Nakamura, Tye Dillinger and Samoa Joe will make their presence felt in this match. Veterans like The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Goldberg will clash once again under the bright lights of the Alamodome. Orton has been projected to win via the current betting odds for this match. But I think WWE will once again go with an NXT standout, much like they did during SummerSlam with Finn Balor. I’ll pick the man who knocked off Finn in NXT.
