The nominees for the Academy Awards were released earlier this week, but I guess no one told Dillon Brooks. During last night’s game against the Utah Utes, the Oregon Duck delivered an acting performance for the ages. You gotta love that commitment. It’s like the old show biz saying goes, “There are no small parts, only small actors.” It doesn’t matter that there was absolutely no contact. He went for broke and sold that charge like it was nobody’s business. Best acting work I’ve seen since this dude pulled off the most subtle death scene in the history of cinema.

The #10 ranked Ducks went on to beat Utah 73-67, and Brooks lead all scorers with 19 points. Getting buckets and locking down a role in the Space Jam sequel at the same damn time. What a night at the office.
