On Friday night, UC Davis was the latest university to cancel a planned speaking engagement by controversial right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos on his “Dangerous Faggot” tour. The event was shut down as a result of the predictable protests of the events causing so much ruckus that the College Republicans who organized the event felt it would be unsafe for the event to go on.
Because Yiannopolous is basically a walking outrage magnet, he had also scheduled for pharma-bro Martin Shkreli- perhaps the most hated in the world- to speak at the event. Yiannopolous never showed up at all, but Shkreli irked the protesters with his mere presence.
For what it’s worth, Shkreli said he was going to try to combat Yiannopolous’s hostility toward feminism.

As an expression of his gratitude toward Shkreli for coming to campus, one protester nailed him with what is apparently dog sh*t.

As hilariously savage as this video is, in Shkreli’s twisted mind evoking this type of visceral reaction from someone is probably one of the best accomplishments in his trolling career.
Anyway, all this liberal outrage does is increase these douchebags’ influence among the types of people who are inclined to listen to them anyway. Plus these types of protests just further Yiannopolous’s shtick, which is centered on the idea political correctness leads to the suppression of free speech.
And ultimately these trolls are getting more famous, influential and rich as a result of all the hubbub surrounding them.
So while it may be extremely difficult, the best thing to do is ignore these attention whores. Because if it weren’t for all the controversy surrounding them, nobody would care about these losers.
Or just forget all that and keep pelting them with dog sh*t until they’re afraid to leave the house. That would certainly provide me with some more great content, at least.
