Both Baylor (15-1, 3-1 Big 12) and Kansas State (13-3, 2-2 Big 12) will be eager to bounce back from tough defeats in this Big 12 showdown. In Monday’s AP poll, the Bears were ranked #1 in the country for the first time in their school’s history.
But the top spot won’t belong to Baylor come next Monday, as they were promptly blown out by West Virginia on the road in their next game. On Tuesday, the #10 ranked Mountaineers forced the Bears to turn the ball over a whopping 29 times en route to a 89-68 victory.
The #25 ranked Wildcats also suffered a difficult loss in their most recent game, albeit in a very different manner. Instead of getting blown out, Kansas State suffered a brutal 66-65 loss on the road to Texas Tech. The Wildcats could use a big win in the worst way, as they’ve now lost two of their last three contests.
