The Boston Calling Music Festival just threw its name into the hat for best festival of the year. The three-day concert will be headlined by Tool, Mumford & Sons, and Chance the Rapper, which is an eclectic mix guaranteed to put asses in seats. Boston Calling will also feature performances from Bon Iver, The xx, Major Lazer, Weezer, The 1975, Solange, Cage the Elephant, and Run the Jewels.
Boston Calling is undergoing major changes for the 2016 edition of its festival. For the first time since its inception in 2013, the festival will be held at Harvard Athletic Complex instead of City Hall Plaza. Another change in its format is that Boston Calling will no longer be biannual. Instead of happening every spring and fall, there will now just be one big show in the spring.
