We’ve got a doozy on our hands for Wednesday, January 4, as the Villanova Wildcats will take on the Butler Bulldogs in a Big East clash. The Wildcats won it all last year, and they are looking like a damn good bet to cut down the nets again. They are currently 14-0 overall, 2-0 in the Big East, and ranked the #1 team in the country.
Jay Wright’s squad is coming off a highly impressive win, as they were able to knock off #10 ranked Creighton on the road. They closed out Saturday’s game on a 14-4 run to pick up an 80-70 victory.
The #18 ranked Bulldogs have also gotten off to a strong start this year, compiling a 12-2 record overall and a 1-1 mark in the Big East. Butler is always tough at Hinkle Fieldhouse, as they’ve won all eight of their home games this season and 11 straight dating back to last year.
Butler is going to need all of the help they can get from their rabid fanbase if they are going to knock off Villanova. The Wildcats boast an all-time record of 7-0 against the Bulldogs, including six victories in the past three years.
Now that you know a little bit about this matchup, let’s break down all of the ways you can watch Butler try to make history.
