Valerie Fairman, the 23-year-old star from the reality show “16 and Pregnant”, has died of an apparent overdose. Valerie, who starred on the MTV show’s second season in 2010, was only 23. She leaves behind seven-year-old daughter, Nevaeh, who is currently with Valerie’s mother.
Valerie’s mom tells us she was at a friend’s home in Coatesville, Pennsylvania Wednesday when the friend repeatedly called for Valerie, who was in the bathroom, but she did not come out. We’re told the friend broke down the door and found her unresponsive.
The coroner is conducting toxicology tests to determine the exact cause of death but we’re told it appears to be an OD.
Fairman, a native of Oxford, Pennsylvania, had a run in with the police just last week, as she was arrested on December 15 for resisting arrest and giving false identification to police. Similarly, she was arrested in February 2015 on prostitution charges.
Fairman’s ex-boyfriend, David Pryce, meanwhile, alluded to the idea that the reality star’s passing might have been drug-related.
“I will always miss you Valerie and I want to tell anyone who is selling s–t to people to stop,” he wrote.
