A shooting has been reported at Townville Elementary school, located in Townville, South Carolina. The school is located in Anderson County, just southwest of Greenville, South Carolina. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a shooting was reported at the school. It’s currently being described as a “security incident.”
EMS and LifeFlight units are reporting to the scene. It is also being reported that at two students and a teacher have been injured. Two students were taken to the hospital by airlift, and one teacher was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Their conditions are unknown.
Channel 4 WYFF is reporting that the school shooting is related to the death of a person on Osborne Road, located behind the school. Police haven’t explained the connection, but they have said that the shootings are related.
Fox Carolina is reporting that one person, a teenager, is in custody.
According to one grandparent, the students are being taken to nearby Oak Dale Baptist church for safeguarding.
