Monday Night Football kicks off its 2016 season with a double header. The later game features the newly relocated Los Angeles Rams visiting the San Fransisco 49ers in Santa Clara. This will be the Rams first game as the Los Angeles Rams since 1995.
Unfortunately, expectations for both of these teams are not that high this season. The San Fransisco 49ers have created more headlines on the field than off of it. Led by first-round bust Blaine Gabbert, San Fransisco is looking like they will be one of the worst team in the National Football League.
As for the Los Angeles, Rams fans should expect yet another season of mediocrity. Over the last 3 years, the Rams have finished 7-9, 6-10, and 7-9. Look for the Rams to finish with a similar record this year. After trading up for the number 1 pick in the NFL Draft, the Rams selected University of California quarterback Jared Goff. However, not only is Goff not starting but he is not even dressing for the week 1 game.
