The sports world stood still Saturday night as Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz were locked in one of the best fights in the history of the sport. After five rounds of pure brutality, the correct decision was made, and McGregor was scored as the winner. However, in fight like this, there are no real losers, in terms of both money and respect.
Immediately after the fight, both of the outspoken brawlers were back to doing what they do best: talking trash. McGregor opened with a line that may define his career:
Surprise, surprise motherf*ckers! The king is back!
Being the natural promoters that they are, both men were eager to speak on a third fight, however McGregor says a trilogy bout would have to go down at 155.
