Crystal Palace, who placed 15th last season, was defeated in their opening match. Crystal Palace lost to West Bromwich Albion, 1-0. Both clubs are seeking their first victory of the 2016-17 Premier League season.
The 2016–17 Premier League is the 25th season of the Premier League, the top English professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992. The season began August 13, 2016, and will last until May 21, 2017. Leicester City are the defending champions, with Burnley, Middlesbrough and Hull City being promoted from the Football League Championship. Rounding out the top four from last season, are Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City.
