A least 5 people have been killed in a tour bus crash on Highway 99 near Livingston, California. According to the Merced Sun-Star, around 50 passengers were on the charter bus, and at this point, it is unclear how many other have been injured. [lead image via ABC]
According to local NBC affiliates in the area, the crash happened near the Liberty Avenue exit, around 3:25 A.M. with 50 people on board. The stations reported the bus hit a sign pole, and that the bus was headed to Sacramento from Southern California. Northbound Highway 99 is currently closed during the investigation. Another 5 of the injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
