Police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, were captured on tape fatally shooting 37-year-old Alton Sterling while responding to a report of a man threatening someone with a gun early Tuesday morning. The video, which was taken by bystanders on a cell phone, shows Sterling struggling with the two officers–whose names have yet to be released– who take him to the ground. As one officer pins one of the Sterling’s arms, a voice shouts, “He’s got a gun!”, then the other officer then says, “Hey, bro, you fucking move I swear to God,” and both officers appear to draw weapons. Then, about 4-6 shots can be heard being fired, killing Alton Sterling. [lead image via WAFB]
