Americans are drinking so much Corona, that we’re causing one of the Mexican cities where the beer is made to go through a serious drought. The city in question is Zaragoza in Nava, Coahilua, and apparently the mayor wrote a short letter to the state governor which read, “We have no water for human consumption.”
Obviously that bit of bad news isn’t going to stop us from enjoying Coronas for the rest of the summer, I just thought that you’d like to be reminded that every action has a reaction. Even that something as small as binge drinking Mexican beers with limes can have an effect. This is also a reminder that Mexico is the kind of place where they’re willing to let their own people go without water as long as it means the gringo’s money makes it way south of the border.
