An abhorrent Florida man named Daniel Farris, 26, was arrested Tuesday for defrauding a mentally handicapped woman into giving him sex and money by posing as country singer Jason Aldean on Facebook. The Pinellas County resident pretended to be Aldean in order to trick the woman into sex. He also posed as a friend of Aldean’s who told the victim the country singer loved her, but he was on tour and needed her to give him money. According to the police, Farris twice swindled the victim for $230 for a sum of $460 and had requested an additional $2000 before his arrest.
According to local NBC station WFLA, the police affidavit said Farris admitted to taking the money from the victim and used it pay for his prescription pill addiction and remains in jail.
You have to be unhinged to think of such a plan, let alone actually execute it. Let’s just be thankful that at least this guy’s deception was ultimately uncovered and he consequentially ended up in jail. Be careful on the internet, folks; there are a lot of sickos out there these days.
