This Girl Was Banned From National Parks Because Of Graffiti

Casey Nocket is a 23-year-old woman who was banned from all national parks and federally administered land after she was convicted of defacing park property with graffiti, then posting the drawings to her social media handles “CreepyTings” on Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr. Casey appeared in court yesterday in Fresno where she pleaded guilty to seven counts of defacing national parks.

In addition to her ban from parks, Casey was given 200 hours of community service and a monetary fine (the value of which will be determined in December).

Most, if not all of her graffiti, was made during a month-long span in 2014. Afterwards, the website ModernHiker picked up her story and tried to make it go public. Judging by the fact that Casey pled guitly yesterday, we’d say they were successful in their efforts.
