This starting lineup video the Pittsburgh Pirates have been rocking this year is absolutely awesome. Mashing together two of life’s greatest forms of entertainment, sports and Game Of Thrones, the Pirates should be using this video for years to come. At least I think they should.

At first, the only people lucky enough to witness this video were those attending a Pittsburgh Pirates game, however, due to the overwhelming positive response the video has received, the Pirates did the right thing and uploaded it for all of the world to see.
Got to hand it to the Pirates, this is sound marketing at it’s finest. Combining a usually boring part of baseball with one of the biggest phenomena in the world is a hell of a move.
Giving credit where credit is due, the video, modeling, animation and setup was done by Gary Baker and Jason Cauveren and the folks at Baker Image Group, and the video reportedly took several months to produce.
