Zyze McCausland, a Key West dancer who works on Duval Street, was arrested this past weekend for a DUI and evading police.
According to reports, the attractive blonde almost smashed her Mazda SUV into another car on Sunday morning at 2 A.M. And the police screamed at her to pull over, she freaked out and drove into the parking lot of a school trying to escape. The problem is that it was a one-way in/one-way out parking lot located right next to the Key West Police Department.
Realizing that she was trapped, she unsuccessfully tried to wake up her unconscious passenger. When that didn’t work, Zyze tried to run. Guess how that worked out. From The Miami Herald:
“You’ll be sorry,” ZyZe McCausland told police several times, according to the arrest report accusing her of drunk driving, a misdemeanor, and a felony count of trying to flee police at high speed.
Once detained, McCausland, who police say is 32 while jail records put her at 26, told police to call security at Rick’s bar “because they would tell me not to arrest her,” Officer Jesse Young wrote in his report after the early Sunday morning traffic stop.
