Game Of Thrones Season 6 Premiere: Date, Start Time & Trailer

The 6th season of HBO’s fantasy drama television series Game Of Thrones premieres Sunday, April 24, 2016, at 9 PM EST.
GoT is an American television series created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. Season 6, unlike the first 5, of HBO’s GoT will largely consist of original content not found in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, but mainly from notes from the upcoming sixth novel, as well as original ideas from the show’s writer. Despite this, after the events of the season 5 finale, anticipation for the newest season of Thrones is at an all time high.
Game of Thrones has brought in record numbers of viewers on HBO (home of smash hits such as The Sopranos and The Wire) and attained a worldwide fan base. Game of Thrones roughly follows the story lines set out in Martin’s novel A Song of Ice and Fire, set in the fictional Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. The series depicts the violent struggles among the realm’s noble families for control of the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms. It has become famous for it’s plot twists and killing off of main characters.
