The Golden State Warriors made history tonight. By defeating the Memphis Grizzles, the Warriors won their 73 game of the season to finish an NBA record 73-9.
The defending NBA Champions go into the playoffs as the number one overall seed, and the clear favorites, considering they just completely the greatest season in the history of the league. Last season, the Warriors went 67-15, and defeated Lebron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers 4 games to 2 in the finals to become NBA Champions. Steph Curry was the regular season MVP, and Andre Iguodala was Finals MVP.
This season, Curry somehow raised his game to incredible new heights. After averaging 23.8 points per game last year, Curry has upped his address to nearly 30 points per game. Curry, having already broken the record for most three pointers in a season, needed 8 more 3’s to break the record.
