The Lee County Coroner’s office confirmed today that Dakota Raymond Parker, a 19-year-old freshman at Auburn University, was hit and killed by a train on early Saturday morning.
The Lee County Coroner’s Office Sunday night identified the student as 19-year-old Dakota Raymond Parker. He was from Decatur, and had graduated from Priceville High School where he played football.
Auburn police, firefighters and EMS workers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a train just after midnight. Coroner Bill Harris said the accident happened near the railroad crossing in the 200 block of North College Street [source].
