After The Walking Dead Season 6 finale premiered on Sunday, April 3, fans have voiced their impatience for having to wait until October to find out answers to various cliffhangers for Season 7. The Walking Dead Cast for Season 7

The main cast will be returning for Season 7, including Norman Reeds (Daryl Dixon), Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene) and Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes). And although many fans had assumed that they had seen the last of Corey Hawkins’ (Heath) character when he took on the main role of the TWD FOX spin-off, but TWD writers have assured fans that they haven’t yet seen the last of Heath, although it probably won’t be in the same way fans have seen him on the show before.

Along with the main cast, a few new faces will be appearing on TWD in Season 7 — some having made their debut at the end of Season 6 on the show, and others who will just be coming on, including Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), Tom Payne (Jesus) and Xander Berkeley (Gregory).

What To Expect from Season 7 Plot-wise

Season 7 will pick up right where Season 6 left off. Jefferey Dean Morgan (Negan) said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter

“Season seven picks up right where we left off, and you’ll see who was at the end of that bat and what happened from there. The death of the person kicks off season seven, and that will be a big part of who is on the receiving end of Lucille.”

So what all will Season 7 include? According to TWD director Greg in an interview Entertainment Weekly

“Next season is really Negan’s story and how our group has to deal with who he is and what his way of life is, so I think [the season 6 cliffhanger is] the perfect ending to this season: watching everyone on their knees, stripped down to the barest vulnerability, and knowing that the cavalry’s not coming over the hill. Our group has never been in this situation before, so I think it’s the perfect opportunity.”
