For many of us, the thought of wearing flip-flops again, being tan, and going to see our favorite artists in concert is what’s getting us through this seemingly eternal winter. Check out our picks for the must-see music festivals this season.
1. Firefly, June 18th-21st
Year in and year out, Firefly is the best festival on the east coast, and it’s not even close. Considered the east’s version of Coachella, Firefly has gorgeous grounds and an even better lineup. If you had to go to ONE festival this summer, we would tell you to go to Firefly. You won’t regret it.
Who? Paul McCartney, Kings of Leon, The Killers, Kid Cudi, Snoop Dog, Citizen Cope, Steve Aoki, Hozier, Zedd, Foster the People, Tove Lo, Chiddy Bang, and Echosmith are just some of the many heavy hitters playing at this festival.
Where? Dover, Delaware

2. Ultra, March 27th-29th
Who? Pretty much anyone who’s anyone in EDM will be there. Afrojack, Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Hardwell, and Tiesto, are just some of the many performers.
Where? Miami, Florida
How much? This event starts on Friday, but if you’re a procrastinator like me, there’s still time to get your tickets. That being said, general admission tickets are 96% sold out, so make sure you hurry! Get them here.
3. Shaky Knees, May 8th-10th
Who? This festival boasts a long list of alternative bands like: the Strokes, the Avett Brothers, Wilco, TV on the Radio, Tame Impala, Ride, and James Blake.
Where? Atlanta, Georgia
How much? Tickets are selling out fast, so you’l need to act quickly. Those that are still available include: Single Day Tickets $99, Three-Day Advance $199, VIP Single Day $299, and VIP Three-Day $599. Get them here.
4. Hangout, May 15th-17th
Who? This beachfront event includes powerhouse artists such as: Sam Smith, Foo Fighters, Zach Brown Band, Paramore, Beck, Major Lazer, Foster the People, and Tove Lo.

5. CounterPoint, May 22nd-24th
Who? The newest festival of them all debuted in 2012 and is one of the few this year where Zedd will perform. Other artists include: Widespread Panic and the Roots.
Where? Kingston Downs, Georgia

6. Bonnaroo, June 11th-13th
Who? Arguably one of the most well-known festivals, Bonnaroo, boasts the likes of Robert Plant, Billy Joel, Mumford and Sons, Deadmau5, Kendrick Lamar, Florence and the Machine, Robert Plant, and Earth Wind and Fire.
Where? Manchester, Tennessee

7. Lollapalooza, July 31st-August 2nd
Who? We’re praying to the music festival gods that the leaked line-up circulating the Internet turns out to be for real- especially because it includes Kanye West and Rihanna. We’re also hoping that music festival gods exist.
Where? Chicago, Illinois
How much? Tickets go on sale tomorrow, 3/24 at 10 am CT, so make sure to head to the website before the early bird specials are gone.
