In a bizarre interview Monday night, Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump compared waterboarding to “what happens on college campuses and frat houses every day.”
Sticking his foot in his mouth, I see. Like father, like son!
On Monday night Eric Trump took to Fox News’s On The Record with Greta Van Susteren to argue that his father “would keep this country safe.” Naturally, his reasoning took a turn for the worst – and the really f*cking weird.
According to The Daily Caller,
As Mediaite reported, Eric Trump argued, “Well, listen you see these terrorists that are flying planes into buildings, right? You see our cities getting shot up in California. You see Paris getting shot up. And then somebody complains when a terrorist gets waterboarded, which quite frankly is no different than what happens on college campuses and frat houses every day.”
“And, you know, the man would keep this country safe. There is no question about it,” Eric Trump argued. Donald’s “got amazing backbone, he’s a tough guy, he’s sick of the nonsense, and he wants to protect this country. And that’s why he’s doing this. I mean, he’s sick of seeing what’s happening to this country, whether it be on trade, whether it be $19 trillion worth of national debt, whether it be terrorists coming in and trying to infiltrate our country. I mean, he would be very, very, very, tough. I mean, that’s who the man is. He’s a very tough guy.”
Donald Trump, one of the several dozen GOP presidential hopefuls, has openly supported various torture tactics when it comes to dealing with terrorists. “I would absolutely authorize something beyond waterboarding,” he explained in an interview with George Stephanopoulos. “And believe me, it will be effective. If we need information, George, you have our enemy cutting heads off of Christians and plenty of others, by the hundreds, by the thousands.”
So really, Donald Trump would run this country like a crazed, sadistic frat boy. That’s what you were getting at, right Eric? Interesting viewpoint… if we knew WTF you were talking about.
