Two female fans at the Australian Open were caught on camera wearing black face, seemingly in support of Serena Williams. As wild and crazy as the fans are at the Australian Open, it’s pretty strange to see fans of Serena completely unaware that black face is “frowned upon.”
Does that kind of awareness not exist in Australia? I mean, that is a serious shade of black paint on her face. I thought it was a mask on the woman on the right at first, but nope–the glare is from her glasses.

As to why they’re both wearing yellow, Serena’s been rocking some fierce yellow outfits in celebration of the Australian Open.
