Ronda Rousey hosted Saturday Night Live last night, and that went pretty well. For one thing, Ronda started the show with a very busy monologue that still let her cram in a congratulations to Holly Holm for winning the UFC bantamweight champion title from her last year. That was a goodwill gesture that Ronda really needed to get done in public.
Also, there were comedy sketches. Ronda was kept in the background for a lot of them. This wasn’t the kind of comedic breakout that Dwayne Johnson got to enjoy when he first hosted the show.
Still, Ronda had some real highlights, including a turn as a sexy teacher who (with fellow teacher Cecily Strong) was on trial for seducing student Pete Davidson.
Yes, SNL had already done that sketch. We guess it’s a recurring thing now — but it was worth it to see Ronda (and Cecily) in sexy schoolteacher mode. That reminds us that SNL had Amy Schumer doing a Sexy Teacher adult-film parody, too. We guess that gets good results. It sure caught our eye — so take a lok at a sketch that might give you some deja vu…
