Final: Mississippi State 51, NC State 28

Dak Prescott finishes his career with a 380-yard passing day for the Bulldogs to go with four touchdowns. Prescott also lead Mississippi State in rushing with 47 yards on the ground. Jacoby Brissett threw for 214 yards for NC State and his two early interceptions doomed the chances for the Wolfpack on a night where Mississippi State controlled the action from the opening whistle.
4th Quarter- Mississippi State 51, NC State 28: Jaylen Samuels scores from one yard out with 45 seconds left for a consolation prize for the Wolfpack.
4th Quarter- 1:26 left: NC State is inside the 1-yard line and keeps taking timeouts each time they don’t make it.
4th Quarter- Mississippi State 51, NC State 21: Aeris Williams gets a chance at running back and goes 33 yards to put the Bulldogs over the half-century mark with 5:38 to play in the game.
4th Quarter- 7:46 left: NC State is falling apart late with penalties as time begins to run out on their season.
4th Quarter- Mississippi State 44, NC State 21: Brandon Holloway scores again on a 55-yard pass from Prescott. A perfect pass that puts Prescott well over 300 yards passing for the day with 9:41 to play.
4th Quarter- 10:23 left: NC State can’t get anything going and have to punt the ball away again.
4th Quarter- 11:57 left: The Wolfpack get the ball back and need to score quickly and get a two-point conversion to have any chance to rally.
End of 3rd Quarter: The Bulldogs are just 15 minutes away from a win in this one. Dak Prescott is 21-for-36 for 295 yards and three touchdowns and has found De’Runnya Wilson five times for 96 yards and a score. It has been a rough afternoon for NC State quarterback Jacoby Brissett with 171 yards passing and two interceptions. Mississippi State is clearly the better team right now.
3rd Quarter- Mississippi State 37, NC State 21: Brandon Holloway scores on a ten-yard pass from Prescott and the lead is back to 17 for the Bulldogs with 1:16 left to play in the third quarter.
3rd Quarter- 2:45 left: The Bulldogs are nearing field goal range late in the quarter.
3rd Quarter- Mississippi State 31, NC State 21: Jacoby Brissett gets the Wolfpack closer with a four-yard touchdown run with 7:20 left in this third quarter of play.
3rd Quarter- 10:04 left: A huge call takes away a NC State touchdown when a flag is thrown for not giving the punt receiver room to make a catch.
3rd Quarter- 11:20 left: After stopping Mississippi State quickly, NC State is driving.

Halftime: Mississippi State 31, NC State 14

Dak Prescott has 224 yards passing and two touchdowns as the Bulldogs are controlling things through the first 30 minutes of play. De’Runnya Wilson has four catches for 84 yards for Mississippi State. NC State quarterback Jacoby Brissett has had a lot of struggles in the first half, going just 3-for-9 for 114 yards with most of those yards coming on the 82-yard touchdown pass.
2nd Quarter- Mississippi State 31, NC State 14: A 39-yard field goal by Westin Graves makes it a three-possession game late in the first half.
2nd Quarter- 1:39 left: The Wolfpack have to punt and the Bulldogs have a chance to score again before the half is over.
2nd Quarter- Mississippi State 28, NC State 14: Prescott returns and tries to score but fumbles. Center Justin Malone was right there to grab it in the endzone however for the touchdown with 3:18 left in the first half.
2nd Quarter- 4:43 left: A big moment as Prescott gets drilled on a sneak and now has to come out of the game with an apparent neck injury.
2nd Quarter- Mississippi State 21, NC State 14: Jaylen Samuels goes 48 yards on a 4th-and-1 for the Wolfpack to score a very important touchdown with 6:43 to play before the intermission. Samuels hasn’t touched it much but that play just made this one a lot closer.
2nd Quarter- 7:50 left: The Wolfpack continue building momentum as they get an interception on a Prescott pass to end a Bulldogs drive.
2nd Quarter- Mississippi State 21, NC State 7: A wild 82-yard pass play from Brissett to Pharoah McKever gives the Wolfpack some life with 11:16 to go. The big tight end was able to somehow outrun the defense because of how open he was.
2nd Quarter- Mississippi State 21, NC State 0: Fred Ross runs it in from 33 yards out on a trick play and the Bulldogs are in complete control of this game with 12:17 left in the first half.
2nd Quarter- 14:03 left: The Wolfpack go for it on fourth down again and while called a first down at first, a video replay overturned the call and it will be Mississippi State ball on downs.
End of 1st Quarter: NC State needs points badly after the last Bulldogs quick score. Jacoby Brissett is just 2-for-6 with two interceptions so far for the Wolfpack. Dak Prescott is 6-for-7 for 129 yards and two touchdowns through the air for Mississippi State. De’Runnya Wilson has three catches for 75 yards to lead the Bulldogs.
1st Quarter- Mississippi State 14, NC State 0: A 28-yard touchdown pass from Prescott to De’Runnya Wilson and a quick two-play drive results in another Bulldogs touchdown with 3:31 left in the quarter.
1st Quarter- 3:49 left: Brissett is intercepted for the second time in the quarter after throwing just four in the whole regular season. Mississippi State takes over on offense on a very rainy day.
1st Quarter- 5:53 left: NC State is working their way slowly down the field, converting some key 3rd downs.
1st Quarter- 9:14 left: The two teams trade punts but the Wolfpack will start their next drive from inside their own 1-yard line.
1st Quarter- Mississippi State 7, NC State 0: Prescott hits Fred Ross for a 14-yard touchdown and the Bulldogs take advantage of the turnover with 13:33 to go in the opening quarter of play.
1st Quarter- On the first play of the game, Brissett is intercepted as he gets hit hard. The Bulldogs get the ball just four seconds into this one.

Wednesday afternoon’s Belk Bowl features a matchup of two teams with great quarterbacks as the 8-4 Mississippi State Bulldogs face off against the 7-5 NC State Wolfpack at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. The Bulldogs’ Dak Prescott has been a one-man wrecking crew for Mississippi State leading the team in both passing and rushing yards on the year while Jacoby Brissett has thrown just four interceptions for the Wolfpack. Will the homestate advantage help out NC State or will Mississippi State come into North Carolina and go home with a win? Kickoff is scheduled for just after 3:30 p.m. Eastern.
