Each season, one of the biggest games of the year is played in Jacksonville when the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs get together. This year, it was supposed to be a solid Georgia team taking on a rebuilding Florida squad. When the game did arrive though, Florida was the team ranked No. 11 in the country while Georgia was struggling. The Gators saw their rivals down and kicked them even further with a 27-3 win to improve to 7-1 overall for the season while Georgia falls to 5-3. (Photo by Sam Greenwood/Getty Images)
Florida scored on the final play of the first quarter when Reggie Davis fumbled on a punt return and Nick Washington picked it up in the end zone. In the second quarter, Treon Harris found Antonio Callaway for a 66-yard touchdown and the rout was starting. Kelvin Taylor added a three-yard touchdown run later in the quarter and it was 20-0 at the half.
Taylor added a second touchdown in the fourth quarter for good measure as he finished with 121 rushing yards on 25 carries. Harris went just 8-for-19 for 155 yards through the air but it was enough. It was a nightmare of a day for Georgia quarterback Faton Bauta, who was intercepted four times but did throw for 154 yards. Florida will host Vanderbilt next week while Georgia will go home to host Kentucky.
